Peripatetic lessons

We have a peripatetic music teacher who offers lessons in a wide range of instruments, including drums, piano, guitar, voice, flute, harp, accordion, recorder, clarinet, saxophone, ukulele and penny whistle.

As well as their regular weekly music lessons, children also benefit from a range of extra-curricular or curriculum enhancement opportunities in music, allowing them to fulfill one of our oaths of 'Perform to an Audience'. Over the last two years, children have had the chance to:

- Take part in the Really Big Sing event in Gateshead with a range of other schools and musicians

- Access theme music days, led by specialists, such as a Brazilian drum workshop; Utterly Butterly Ukulele workshop; Japanese Taiko drumming and much more!

- Sing and perform in the local community

- Enter the Eskdale Festival of the Arts
